Having some trouble with the Banjo titles but we might pick up some lost time within the next few weeks!

First person on the planet to beat every N64 title. A long time ago, not so far away I've been searching for a challenge greater than that of an ordinary gamer... a challenge of significance. Eventually starting this epic journey of completing the N64 library wanting to be the first to beat them all! What imaginably could be done by years end, took me at least 3 times the endevour. Knowing upfront the painful road ahead, where most would run from it, sticking to just a few, I learned from it. Gaming is not just about how fast you can beat one of them, but how determined it forges you to play the next one. Because games aren't hard, they are as hard as the attitude you have towards games. And now, at the end, do I understand the difference between knowing the games and playing through them. Becoming a jack of all trades, master of none, Meridianprime is the name, challenge seeking is my game. I present to you on Saturday August 18th Super Mario 64, the Grand Finale of my N64 Challenge!

I visited your challenge page to check out your playthrough of one of my favorite N64 game (Harvest Moon 64). It turns out to be a bit anti-climatic, but it makes me wonder about what you consider the bare minimum of "beating" every game is. I'm sure you've faced lots of flak about it, but I'd be interested in your opinion. I'm not even sure what would constitute winning Sports or Racing games, but as someone who has played through all of them, I'd like to hear what you've learned along the way.

In Harvest Moon 64, it's just sleeping every day until you get to the credits, but as someone who has more knowledge than most about the scope of N64 games, I'd be interested in your version of what constitutes "beating" each game and how you came to that decision. It's not an easy task determining when you're through with a Sports or Racing game, but I'm genuinely interested in your take on it.

So if you get a bit of time after you've finished the challenge (Congrats! That's a huge achievement! Respect for sticking with it!), I'd request an additional column in the excel sheet with some short notes about what was required to "beat" that particular game. I think it would also help people who want to follow in your footsteps.

@oddtom That is a very interesting post. Legit question as it is a hard one to answer. However I am completely transparent when it comes to completing/beating games. So this column you mention will definately be made! Very helpful for others and having a list made by 1 person means it is very consistent. Many might call me a fraude or cheater or whatever to show their displeasement on my "beaten" term. We all have our own opinion on what we call the game complete/beaten. And in some games there simply is no defined ending as we know in stories with final boss, cut scene, credits, the end. Since no game is the same, I have a general rule where I evaluate the game with until it is a misfit and I go down some "if then else" E.G. If credits can be selected from the option menu. According to the general rule, it is "beaten", but lets be fair... it isn't. So there is our first exception/decision making. Along with many other variations. I'm sorry to say that as a Harvst Moon fan you are, to see a guy just sleeping all the 278 days to the ending, is kind of a downer. But is fits the general rule to obtain credits through gameplay. And honestly I have been pondering on this game for a long time. But my conclusion is that sleeping fits the rule as any% (low% is a form of any%) I will come back to you in detail on my "beaten terminology", but since you posted this 6 days ago I at least want to let you know I'm not ignoring you :) Meantime I would like to know your POV on Harvest Moon beaten terms. Would mine be legit? Imagine a person knowing nothing of the game. It is nearly impossible to achieve any storyline from start till end without screwing up a day. it is a game you grow into and by resetting the game you get better and better, closer to the ultimate All pictures%. In short, I could have fiddled around town for 278 days, having absolutely no clue wtf I'm doing or why I do the things I do, but yet still after 278 days, seeing credits. I admittingly say I took the short cut :) or should I say Sleep Cut.
