I'm Trying to get into Celeste speed running, but I'm on Nintendo switch. My options are A) Buy a capture card, or B ) Take footage by pointing a camera at my T.V. Would there be any specifications towards me using the latter method? (Besides Looking Awful)

Ask there. Though pointing a camera at your TV should be acceptable so long as you can see what is happening.

Understandable. If you do look into capture cards just know you can spend anywhere from 30 to 300 and beyond, all up to you really.
