Hi all, new to speedrunning, just trying out techniques for now.

When BLJ-ing the endless stairs I got it a few times, but instead of getting to the top of the stairs all the time, I managed to get into Wet-Dry World twice, first with water at the top, and second time with the water at the bottom.

I didn't know this was possible, has anyone else had this happen?

I'm trying this on a game that has 69 (Nice) stars but Mario has lost his hat to the Monkey or the Bird, I can't remember which one. Would this affect it?

Yeah you can go to WDW if you have a slanted angle, make sure you're straight with the stairs. Make sure to check out the 16 star guide for more information (:

I get the same thing too, where occasionally I'll have a weird angle, but still start a BLJ, but Mario will get stuck and clip through the stairs into the top of Wet-Dry World. Dunno how you got water at the bottom though... I always get the very top. But yeah, that's normal.

it's because you're angled left, you want to be angled towards the right side of the stairs instead

when you BLJ, always be sure you are angled straight or slightly to the right; never angle left or you may potentially end up in WDW.
