It's purely osmetic, but it's easier to divide the standard sword from any unlockable one.

Most runs in the Lab Swords category use it, so what even is the point of the category It's essentially the same thing, but it's supposed to be different It's essentially submitting a regular run into a different category to get a higher place

It's not known to be purely cosmetic. The dev hasn't confirmed yet and he said there might be gameplay related differences

I'm pretty sure everyone wants to only do prism sword runs or make it the standard sword. It's just the most fun/visually appealing sword.

We know, but we can't add it to the normal category before we get confirmation that it is purely cosmetic.

Dev just confirmed that there are no gameplay related differences. Prism will now be allowed in the "normal" category with the Katana.
