Does pause buffering still exist on Switch?

Does the pause buffering (particularly used to do frame-perfect inputs to start the rocketbarrels faster) still work the same way in the Switch port?

I never actually did this firsthand in the original version so I'm probably not the best person to test, so I was wondering if anyone had tried it. I will test it eventually when I get to that point in the game, though.

Pause buffering does still work in time attack the same way it did on Wii U, except the menus are a lot faster so the timing is a bit different. It also feels like they fixed the "DsS" glitch where the camera doesn't follow the rocket if you mash too quickly, but it's possible I just didn't pause buffer well enough when messing with it.
