you can buy a chip for 3 dollars to FAKE Amiibos thats unfair because youre getting an unfair advantage over players that paid 13 dollars for a real Amiibo or want to play legit

Please ban Amiibos or the runners have to show the real Amiibos in the VOD would be fair : )

I'm not one for Amiibo in runs, especially without category separation, but your argument is a bit flawed here. The only thing amiibo spoofers allow is ease of access and a lower entry barrier - naturally considered a good thing. Seeing as they have the same usage in the game, and offer no physical difference, there is no "unfair advantage". The run is still legitimate, and it changes nothing in the run or the game itself.

EDIT : Woahoho, missed the sub category separation for amiibo, my apologies for the mistake.

Using 3rd party hardware for a 1 minute saver is like, using a Turbo controller for a 3 frame trick that saves 1 minute, not fair. and those chips are kinda illegal because its not licensed by Nintendo so they have to get banned.

Another one of these comments? Who cares about using a real Amiibo or a chip? There are no differences. Also, who cares about if people pay 3 or 13 dollars? The only ones that should care is Nintendo, not the speedrun community. And the comparison to a Turbo controller doesn't fit at all. You could rather compare it to a 3rd party controller which is completely the same in all regards except being 3rd party. And last, Amiibo and No Amiibo seem to be completely separated categories since a few days. Your comment is completely needless.
