Im using Project 64 1.6 for SM64 Speedruns and Im trying to use my gamecube controller. I have the correct plugins along with the wii u gamecube adapter driver, its in wii u mode (or direct input). Ive used zadig to get the right drivers for my gamecube adapter as well. I followed the EMU guide perfectly using all the recommended drivers and settings. I've tried using N-rages Direct input 8 V2 1.83 along with NRage's Input plugin v2 2.3c. Only the 2.3c version detects my controller, but when I go in game, I'm able to move mario just fine, its just that the camera options dont work. Niether mario cam or the c stick works. I have no idea why this is happening.

You have to change them manually. When I ran sm64 I used the GCN controller too and I used x and y to turn them right and left respectively. I used the c-stick for down and up. L for Mario cam. R or z for crouching and the rest is obvious. However. I used the dpad for splits. Pressing down would trigger a split. I used the program called joytokey. You can use it for save/load states too and other basic functions.

Also I don't recommend that adapter. I have all of them and the 2 port adapter works the best in terms of input for pj64

Hey i figured it out, in the gcn adapter driver, click windows gamepad info, then properties, at the top bar of that: settings, then calibrate. I guess there was something wrong with the vjoy emulation of the controller, even though it was able to detect every input in nrage input plugin. Talked to GiBoss about it (emu guy) he summed up that it was a windows fuckup! Hope this works for yall :)
