Losing all sports new tennis strat?

So, I've been experimenting on Wii sports tennis to practice for a Losing All Sports run, and I think I found a new possible strat. When your Mii's are on the left side, you have to serve the ball. However, if you put your Mii's on the RIGHT side, the CPU's get to serve, meaning, in theory, you can lose the game faster and more consistent.

From there, you just have to start a game and do nothing except hit A to skip replays. Will this strat be allowed? And if so, do we allow it before the run starts, or (instead of starting by hitting 'Single Game') do we start the timer when we hit our Mii's?

Well it says start on selecting single game, the rules dont say choosing the other miis isnt allowed.

This is not faster than serving yourself because the opponents need some time to start their serve. If you play against high level CPUs and they return all 4 fast serves from you this is faster.

However, if you want to change the position of your Miis it is not disallowed to my knowledge.

I've indeed seen that the CPU's take a little longer than a human player to take the serve. the thing is, you need some pretty mediocre to high luck for the CPU to return your smashes. I've played against Elesa, and she had a little trouble returning those smashes. and before you ask, Elesa had a skill level of 2000. I will need to do some actual testing outside of my thought process, but for now I don't think it's out of the question... I'll post here later on with my findings. I will use livesplit, but I can't record it since I don't own a Capture card and I don't like uploading content that was made sh*tty (like recording a screen with a camera)

OK, the testing was QUITE difficult, but I did make it happen.

the tough part was getting Elesa to hit the EXACT same style as me. After testing, I found that it is slower by 0.32 seconds (without any smashes) WITH Smashes, however, it IS faster to let the AI serve. With 3 smashes and 1 normal hit, letting the AI serve is around 0.13 quicker, surprisingly. (if they return the ball, that is) so, if you have good luck with AI Smashes, it can save some time. I couldn't get them to smash ALL the hits, but after testing for around 15 minutes, my attention span ran dry

for people wondering how I timed it: I started the timer as soon as I hit 'Single Game' and I stopped the timer upon the final '2nd bounce' message. if you think the timing is incorrect, feel free to try testing it yourself

The strat is more consistent and easier. I like it. Good find!

What times were you getting with this strategy? My average time for second bounce is around a late 24 early 25 seconds, using the old strat.

I’ve already tried it in my 8:39. At best if it’s all smashes, then it’s roughly 26-27 secjnd
