I just submitted my first couple of records. It's my first time, and I changed the YouTube videos from "Unlisted" to "Public." This seems to have screwed up my original upload dates that were shown under the video.
For example, I set a few records back in October and posted them Unlisted to YouTube. Now I flipped them to "Public" in YouTube, and the date under the video shows today's date, March 17, 2021.
Is there any way to get back the previous date? It's not the biggest deal, but I would have left it as Unlisted if I had known that changing would screw up my dates.
When submitting a run, you can manually set the date, so the dates will show up on sr.c correctly. I do not know how to fix the upload date on the videos though.
i dont know if you can "get it back" but they should still show up in ytstudio on that video
Thanks, guys.
You know what? The game in reference (Seterra) has a splash screen at the end when you finish a run, and I completely forgot that it shows the date. That makes the YouTube date a non-issue, as long as that splash screen is sufficient for the mods.
The dates you performed a run should be irrelevant to the mods. I’ve never heard of a game that requires showing a date as required proof for a run. As long as the run follows all the normal rules for the game and category, the date you performed the run and the date you submitted it is irrelevant.
I once submitted a run like 6 months late because I forgot I highlighted it and never submitted it.
@Timmiluvs some games like minesweeper require date and time to be shown so that the RNG can't be manipulated
Yeah, it was less about proving that I did it and more about proving WHEN I did it, for posterity. :-D
