Did you record your DS system with your tablet or did you install a DS emulator on your tablet?

If you record your DS system, It should be accepted. It shouldn't matter how bad the quality is, aslong you are able to see the run :)

If you used an emulator, the emulator is probably inaccurate.

Your title says 3DS but all of your posts say DS so I don’t know what system you’re actually talking about.

If it’s a 3DS and you used an emulator like Citra (idk if that emulator is even done enough to run full games) then it was probably rejected because the emulator isn’t finished or accurate. The only other option is a very expensive 3DS capture card (hundred of dollars).

If you’re talking about a regular DS, if using emulator make sure you’re using approved versions of an emulator (the mods can give you some versions that are allowed). Otherwise, unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars on a DS capture card you’ll need to record it by pointing a webcam or something at your DS while you play.

Hopefully that clarifies some things.

PS: if you want to put a picture in the forums, upload it to a site like Imgur and then paste the link here, it should usually auto embed.

Oh yeah, I forgot NTR was a thing. That would be an option too.

Are you talking about this run? Video

It should be fine in my opinion, I can clearly hear you playing it etc, maybe they couldn't properly time your run because your screen got off camera at some points. But if you want better quality Timmiluvs and HowDenKing gave good options ^^ Maybe you could try to make something that will hold your tablet, so the video will be more steady

No need to make 3 posts, just lump all your replies into one.

I’m not sure what part of my post(s) you’re referring to as idiotic, but if you’re talking about NTR, to my understanding, it’s custom firmware you can install on a 3DS that allows for a variety of things, including sending a video feed over wifi to your PC. If I remember correctly it’s not the best quality, but it’s much cheaper than a capture card.

Also, bandicam or any recording software won’t do you any good if you can’t capture the console. Plus, I’d recommend something like OBS or XSplit since those are much better than bandicam and they allow you to record or stream.

Also, if the run @Seydie linked is indeed the run you’re talking about, it was probably rejected because for chunks of time (like around 5 minutes in) you can’t see the game at all. Being unable to see the game for stretches of time is probably why it was rejected.

^ and New 2DS (incl. XL versions) I also heard somewhere that it's not able to record new 3DS exclusive games but I didn't try that out yet. Just noticed that some VC games didn't work

Just noticed that some VC games didn't work[/quote] Yep, NEW exclusive titles don't work with NTR because NTR is utilizing the free extra processing power of the "new" devices. the new exclusives use that extra processing power as well, so NTR doesn't have any extra power to utilize.

for VC stuff I'd recommend using a WiiU tho - it's much easier & better quality to record via HDMI. and as VC injects are a thing (VC is basically just an official emulator) you can basically play everything on a WiiU.
