Is this a good SNES capture setup?

So I've been trying to find the best way for me to capture footage from my SNES for OBS. I should note that I don't have any CRTs, instead just my computer monitor and the screen I use for the gameplay, a 20-inch 720p LG monitor. Also, my capture card is an internal one, the Elgato HD60 Pro, specifically.

So, from my searching around, my plan was to get these two parts: A RetroTINK-2X ( http://www.retrotink.com/ )and an HD RETROVISION SNES YPbPr Component Cable ( https://bit.ly/2XpSNQi ). So, connect the HD component cable into the RetroTINK, then the RT into my Elgato and the Elgato output to my LG monitor.

So, does this all check out? I'm not used to capturing retro consoles, so I want to know for sure if there might be some TV/capture card incompatibility first, or something.

I use a RetroTink-2x in my setup as well as the SNES component cables from HD Retrovision. The only difference is that I split the component to go to a Sony Trinitron CRT and the RetroTink-2x before connecting the latter to my capture card (Magewell).

Your setup should work fine for what you have. The RetroTink-2x into the Elgato should be fine, but the only question mark for me is your monitor. The RetroTink-2x outputs at 480p60fps, so as long as your monitor doesn’t have an issue with 480p signals, then you should be fine with what you’re trying to do.

Thanks for the input, Tim! According to my LG monitor's user manual, it supports 480p and 480i, so I should be good with this setup then, hopefully! I'll purchase the RetroTINK and HD component cables soon, then.

Thank you!

if you ever happen to come across an x-capture 01. i would highly recommend it for retro console recordings
