"Why can't you just let people enjoy speedrunning the game?" Speedrunning and enjoying the game doesn't always get along with each other.
Have to back up people that want it banned for the reasons they provided - example like the game already having some controller support, changing aim type on the fly wout going into the menu, and the apparent ability of holding calls indoors [if i understood that correctly; may not be relevant now but in the future so im 50/50 on this part of the issue]. Also, even then, I'm pretty sure there are workarounds that can be done to get your favorite controller working w this game even wout this <<mod>>.
On the topic of game modifications and modifying the game. It's not a black and white issue that some people - like Powdinet - are making. Mods should be looked at a case by case basis, like this thread, and then a decision needs to be made. Banning a mod JUST BECAUSE it "modifies the game" is pretty fallacious reasoning IMQHO.
In addition, on the topic of, "YOU DONT EVEN WAN THE GAEM"; I think people that don't run the game should be able to have a discussion here and vote, but they have to give at least a sufficient argument on the topic; which I guess can be applied to all the vote comments in this thread.
Shadow_dog: Reread my post and you'll find that I don't treat it as a black and white issue, I treat it as a "this gives you an advantage over other people who don't abuse this mod, and the mod can be removed and replaced with something else" issue.

There is 2 different versions of GInput, the one we are talking about is Silent's version, but there's also an older version by Deji that is available here, which does a lot less. I am not sure what it's like in relation to reasons we want Silent's GInput banned though; all I can say is I used it for a bit many years ago and I know MisterPost did/does as well.

@Kyle Although it's true that I don't have any runs, I've just started learning the game about a week or so ago. But I've been watching runs for about 2 years now. I know it's not much, but it's something I'd like to point out.
This is an open forum. Whether you have a run or not, your opinion should matter and your voice should be heard.
The GTA:SA community has been deteriorating over a long period of time. Many top runners are not currently present on the leaderboard. This issue has not been seriously addressed yet, but an attempt will be made to remedy it now.
