Some questions to try the speedrun

Ideally you would run the Japanese Wii U VC version rather then a disc. Starting out English Wii U VC is recommended because it's not much slower and Japanese has potential to crash on some loading zones.

Though, starting out on an English Disc is just fine, You will only lose a few minutes maximum, which can be saved by improving at the game.

Thank you very much, Zachlink. Do you use VC or any disc? Although it is better to start with English I would like to know how you get Japanese.

the version speeds for a beginner go in this order: WiiU VC JP - (Fastest) requires homebrew or a jp wiiu WiiU VC US - easiest to get your hands on (second fastest version) WiiU VC PAL - same as English, can't do boomer skip

  • WiiU VC has faster loads than disk Wii Disk JP Wii Disk Eng Wii Disk PAL

we can help you in the discord if you have any questions but as you said, I would just recommend playing with what you have because the route for beginners is the same across all platforms, its once you start competing for top times you will have to invest in the best versions

also another thing to note:

JP will randomly crash when going through load zones. it's rare but happens every now and then. so consider than when looking into what version you want to play on

Hi. I have one more question: how can I get glitches? I have a WII U VC PAL and both PAL discs (the old and the modern one), but the glitches do not appear.

which glitches are you talking about?

i know "shop clip" doesn't work in PAL or english 1.2 and boomer skip doesn't work in PAL versions as far as i know.
