Neutral Slide Jumping

Hello :)

You'll probably notice I'm new around here, and I just wanted to gauge what the general feel about this trick is. You have to use it to get a good time, but it sorta takes away from the gameplay and feels more about mastering a button sequence when I play the game this way. Is there any sort of interest in having a category for speedruns without the use of NSJ?

Short answer: no. Slightly longer answer: No separate category, but feel free to run without it. Even longer answer: NSJ ing optimally isn't the same timing every time, sometimes you'll want to land sooner, and so the timing is nuanced throughout the run. In that respect, using the NSJ adds to the gameplay as instead of walking/sliding everywhere except when jumping over obstacles, you have to keep the same movement technique going throughout the level.

Lastly: No matter what, if you want a good time in a game/category you're going to have to master the movement of the game, with all that entails. For Crash 3, that means NSJ. In other games, it means other tricks.

I can only second that.

Are there ANY GUIDES explaining the glitches? like I can never find anything.

Germany

Not precisely, no. Most glitches are fairly self-explanatory. When in doubt just watch streams and ask around chats there. Another alternative is watching runs from marathons such as ESA or any of the GDQ's since everything noteworthy has been explained there well enough to my knowledge.
