The rules mention that you are only allowed to reset the Museum Ending, but looking at the world record, I'll already seeing issues. In the Insanity Ending, the game is manually reset before the Mariella segment even happens, and everybody is going back to the main menu before the ending actually restarts on its own
Are the reset rules just completely different for this category, or what? If they are, then, in my opinion, this splits the groups who run these categories up, and can lead to confusion for new runners.
I mean that manual resetting is being allowed in the Saves Allowed category despite the fact that the rules specifically say that you can only manually reset during the Museum Ending. I'm just confused about that really.
I'm not the one who wrote the rules, and I have never done a run of the cateogry, so talk to plumato please, because I don't really know what I am talking about on the subject.

As far as that goes, I wanna say that you are looking at runs before 10/26/15, however I haven't kept up with it too much. I know DarkOrbX would have a better idea, as he is the one who created this category. If you look at the rules, you can see "-(EDIT: New rule as of 10/26/15, you are no longer allowed to reset on the "Baby Game" ending. The game should reset on its own.)", however I guess that ending is much different than what you are talking about (I haven't touched the game in years). I'll grab DarkOrbX and have him take a look, because someone might have verified a run that has illegal usage of resets before that date.

Sorry for the confusion, it's been over a year since I did that run (and any speedrunning at all, really) so I apologize if my answer is a bit lacking as far as in depth knowledge about that specific run is concerned.
Considering that category was never too popular (as you can see by the total number of runs on the leaderboard) and the rules were never too fleshed out, I would say at this point any resets you see in the runs there now are acceptable for a new run of that type, if that makes any sense. Basically, I would say that you are allowed to reset wherever I had in the current WR run, just for simplicity's sake.
