Vs RBI Baseball?

I didn't see this listed with games, so I was wondering if we could add categories for this game? I'd love to run this as well if possible. Thoughts?

I'm not familiar with the Vs version, but what categories would make sense? The same ones?

I tend to think that since it’s a different game on arcade instead of NES that it should be its own separate game with its own leaderboard. I’m not sure what the precedent is on this site.

It's really up to the community sometimes. You could certainly make a new board for the Vs version, or we can add a subcategory to this one to split between NES/Arcade. I'm open to whatever you folks want to do.

It does play a bit different, but mostly the same. Different teams, different pacing, if you are losing the cpu at any point you lose aka Game over, etc. But it plays the same as the nes version. I was told by others that if a game is very similar, it will get denied its own board, so that's why I suggested to just add it on. As for categories, all the same ones would be fine I believe, besides all teams any% since it might not work the same since you game over after losing. I just wanted to bring it up here to see how everyone would feel, cause the more opportunities to rbi, the better :p

Cool. I’d vote in favor of the idea then. Won’t have access myself to play, but I’d definitely watch some runs.

I will get them added soon once I figure out the best way to implement it. If any timing rules are slightly different in the Vs version we can update the rules accordingly, just let me know.

From what I can tell, we can still start at the same time. I gotta fidget around more with the game because I haven't seen an ending yet lol, so idk if a scoreboard is shown or what exactly. I'll play some and report back with what I find. MORE RBI THE BETTER :D

So we do got some differences for sure at least for win a game. Game ends at 10-0, no playing defense, which is nice lol. There is a scoreboard at the end that we can still end the run with like the NES version. So start when selecting pitcher, end when scoreboard shows. I assume lose a game could be done as well, just instead of them having to get 10 runs, as soon as they take the lead on you, you lose. I noticed too that after one game, the machine goes back to main menu, so 9-0 and all teams any% are possible, just have to remember your order of teams and enter quarters when needed.

Here is a video link to my win a game run -

Thanks for the video. I'll get it set up as a subcategory tomorrow.

If anyone needs help setting up anything to run these categories, feel free to message me on here and I'll help you out. The more runs we can submit the better!
