Please add a line to the rules as @Sasam has requested. It's courteous to our new and experienced members.

It might also be nice to set up auto-rejection for games that have been previously rejected or are currently pending review. That would be easier on site staff and would keep users waiting less.

Edit April 2020: Thanks for adding game notability to the rules!
It might also be nice to set up auto-rejection for games that have been previously rejected
I don’t think this is a good idea. Often times, a user submits a game and doesn’t include enough information on it because they don’t know what is a good amount to include. This results in the game being rejected. That user then talks to the Content/Full Mods and explains their reasoning for wanting the game. Then they are told to resubmit it and it will get approved.

If you auto reject games that have already been rejected, you might end up causing grief for people who just don’t know any better when submitting games. Even worse, if a Content/Full Mod makes a mistake and rejects a game by accident, you don’t want that game getting auto rejected when being resubmitted.

Even if this is fine tuned and doesn’t auto reject until “X number” of rejections, you might still run into issues, it’s a hard thing to account for. I also don’t know how many times games are rejected multiple times, so it may not be that bad.

All that being said, I think the auto rejection for games already in the queue is a good idea since we’ve had duplicate games slip through before. That hinders on people submitting games with the same name, but you can’t account for everything. This might be something worth doing to help alleviate some honest mistakes.

How about that it shows your total time on all runs on your info?

^ That's a pretty good idea but it wouldn't make much sense to be on the info. Maybe total amount of hours for users spent on all runs on the user statistics.

Whats the deal w 1 person being able to str8 up remove a co-op run for all the players wout other people even knowing?

In my case it was 1 person out of 3, but imagine if it's an 8p run and 1/8 of those people just randomly decides to delete the run wout other 7 people's knowledge.

Hmm, very small thing, but I've noticed that if you have a Misc subcategory underneath a normal category, then the runs aren't classified as "Misc runs." Is it possible to make it so both Misc categories and Misc subcategories both mark a run as Misc run?

Would be nice if the panels on the Edit Game page were in separate tabs, it would make navigating the page a lot easier since you wouldn't have to scroll up and down the page so much to find what you're looking for and then pop back up to hit the Save button.

There's some forums that has been locked because of spam in people's notifications so how about in your Following Setting for a game you can turn off that thread so people can post in it and everyone doesn't need notifications of it. Also If possible that it shows all the threads so you can stop getting notifications of that thread manually? This might be hard to add and i understand that it's just a though so threads doesn't need to be locked for spam. Sorry for bad english.

@IanTEB764 If a thread is literally just being filled with spam it probably should be locked anyway, regardless of notifications.

@ShikenNuggets About your suggestion: You don't need to hit the save button every time, that's only for the part at the top (Name, Discord, Region etc), everything else gets saved automatically. I do agree on the suggestion tho'.

A minor suggestion I have on the wording of the submissions page for runs. Upon submission, you are treated with this message: https://i.imgur.com/C71EYhF.png "Before your run appears on the leaderboard, it will be submitted for verification by our moderators. Run approval may take 1-3 weeks in some cases. You will be notified shortly."

This is fine, however the final sentence, "You will be notified shortly.", doesn't really make sense. I think it is trying to say "You will be notified shortly after the run is approved", but I can easily see most people reading this and expecting a notification that their run landed in some queue or something like that. Maybe removing this line or slightly changing it to what I said above would be more clear.

A way to see obsolete level runs on your IL page.

It would be nice for mods to be able to duplicate leaderboards or create templates out of them.

I mod https://www.speedrun.com/Jack_Frost, a Nitrome game, and just got mod status on Square Meal, another Nitrome game.

They will have almost the exact same categories, settings, and rules. The only difference will be individual level count. Square Meal has 50 levels and Jack Frost has 40. Still, it would be great to have those 40 levels preloaded by templatizing or duplicating the Jack Frost leaderboard.

On profiles, having some people's misc runs shown by default and other people's misc runs not shown by default can be somewhat confusing. It would be better if I could say "I want to show/hide all misc runs on everyone's profile regardless of their profile setting".

There should be a way to see all the posts you have liked.

It's a bit disappointing to click on a run that says "Video available" and has the video camera icon next to it, only to see a .jpg.

"Picture available" with a digital camera icon next to it might be more suitable. Coding wise, you could parse for common file extensions and decide if it's a picture or video.

If it's neither a picture or video, it's a link. "Link available" with a link icon would be great for that situation.

^ Maybe add a "image" checkbox next to it which you could also disable entirely as a mod.

Here's a suggestion. I see tons of feedback in this thread but almost none of it is getting done or noticed. Start doing that.

^ Not all suggestions should actually be implemented and some would just take way too long. There are other more important things that should be worked on and these aren't listed here. And the staff is doing everything in their free time too. Just be patient, they will get to some suggestions at some point.
