Is streaming in 360p fine?

Is it fine for viewers? And if I stream a bitrate that is above 360p, but the stream remais 360p, what does that mean? And I ask this about both emulators and consoles.

If you want to have 1-2 viewers consistently, then yes. If you want to progress as a streamer, upgrade to 720p. If you have to, put your fps to 25-30 instead of 60fps.

Also play with your bitrate.

I am looking for performance and not quality

well, if it's performance you're looking for you can go with ROMaster2's 80kb/s settings. works well enough for many things

I have my output at 360p because I have a shit processor and if I try higher I get 99-100% CPU usage.

I'm gonna pass on it, but if I see only pixels... It can make the task more... As long as it's not lower than 360p, it's okay :D

make up your mind quality or performance, can't have both

I don't know how nobody has yet pointed out that it depends on the game you're broadcasting.

If you're playing a PC game that's natively at 1080p then yeah it's not gonna look great.

If you're playing a NES/SNES game with a capture card, though, 360p is already above the native resolution and 720p wouldn't offer any real benefits.

Video settings always need to be tailored to the task, somewhat.

in order to maximize not only performance but also quality you can aim for 720 output even if your down scaling with even a low bit rate of 1k or less can be sufficient and qaulity enough provided you maintenance a decent level in which more people can view the content and be pleased with it.

You can even stream on Full HD or else try 720P which works fine most of the time. https://www.neptunofilms.com/free-movie-streaming-sites/

There was no reason to post on the thread. The person already has the answer, and judging by their profile, will not even see this.
