If you are going to speedrun.com in your mobile device, it is kind of annoying to have to go to the browser. There should be a Speedrun.com app for the App Store and Google Play.

this has been talked about for years. dont remember what the "real" reason for it not existing was but the site works completely fine on mobile despite the ads. you can also make a shortcut to the website to your home screen

What do you want from an app that a website cannot provide?

Forgive me if I'm confused, but I believe Mr. @Pear hasn't said anything on the subject (or at least not on this thread). Perhaps you were referring to @SioN?

So many people think they want an app but don't really know why they want one.

Creating and maintaining proper apps for multiple platforms (IOS, Android, etc) is a lot of work for realistically very little (if any) benefit. I'd much rather that development time and resources be spent making the site itself better for everyone. Maybe when things are more stable it'll make more sense, but certainly not anytime soon, and I'm pretty sure Elo has said it's not on their roadmap at all (unfortunately I can't remember when/where they said that).
