Hi, I’m working on a game called Flowing Lights and a Beta2 version of the game will be available tomorrow Friday 12 at 10 a.m. PST on Xbox One. I’m posting here because I’d like to know if Speedrunners would enjoy the game. The game has quite fast “die and retry” loops with a ranking system. Each of the 180+ sections of the game can be thought of as a “micro-speedrun” that last around 10 to 20 seconds. Trying to get the hardest “Rank S” is quite satisfying when successful :-)

Well, if you can try the game on Xbox One or the Demo on PC, I’d love some feedback and suggestions to improve the game and it’s speedrun-ability :-) Thanks!

I don't think there are too many Xbox One players here, so the ones there are should be all over it. Definitely remind us when the PC demo becomes available, there should be substantially more interest in that.

Meanwhile, for Xbox players, all you have to do is install the (official Microsoft developed) “Xbox Insider App” and in less than 3 hours from now (at 10 a.m. PST) the game will appear in the app and you’ll be able to automatically claim a beta key and play the game (the beta will last for about a week) There are only a few thousand keys available so they should all go quite quickly (a few hours, maybe a day, difficult to estimate) Thanks!

It turns out the beta was not accessible in all countries, it now is (or will be in a few minutes, maybe an hour)

Quick follow up: the Steam Demo is now available on Steam until June 22 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/757820/Flowing_Lights/) The beginning of the demo should be very easy for an experienced player but the last 2 Zones might prove more interesting (try getting S Rank) If you like the game and would like to get involved in beta playtests, give feedback, suggestions etc, please contact me (best way is with Discord, info on www.FlowingLights.com) Thanks!
