I'd rather use file select so I don't have to reset the emu twice every run, I'd like to know what I should put my starting time at for actuate results on autosplit

I’m pretty sure I have seen some emu runners use a savestate for resetting that starts the first frame the text boxes are gone after the intro, and they start the timer around 56s if I remember right. I would check twitch and wait for an emu runner to reset so you can get an example.

I am pretty sure its 55 seconds

Submitted runs must begin from reset, without intro skip or starting from file select just to be clear. Feel free to do it however you'd like if you don't plan on submitting though.

You can go into Options -> Settings > ROM Settings -> Default Save Type

Change it to 32kbytes SRAM

That way every time you reset you start without any savefile at all.
