What's your PS2 capture setup?

Sup guys,

I'm having a bit of trouble streaming from my PS2 at the moment, it seems really inconsistent so I thought I'd ask what your preferred setup is.

Currently, I use a Vellbox to take Component in from the PS2 and convert it to HDMI, then route it to my TV. I'd like to capture straight from that HDMI, but for whatever reason, my AverMedia LGP goes berserk, it sometimes picks up on the initial HDMI signal but when I get into a game and switch it to 60Hz NTSC (because the console is PAL, so 60Hz is on a game-by-game basis only some support it) signal it freaks out completely and I can't get a signal. Worse, after this happens sometimes capture from the device is completely borked and I have to re-install the driver. My best guess is the Vellbox can't quite handle the switch properly, and whatever it does to the signal in the meantime does something funky to the capture card.

So, instead I'm using the PS2 cable that came with the LGP and goes straight into the capture card, it's also really inconsistent (sometimes it refuses to pickup sound) and is much lower quality than through the Vellbox.

How do you guys do yours?

Personnaly, i just use the PS3 component cable on it, and then plug it directly into my capture card (AverMedia ExtremeCap U3), also in the PS2 settings i set it to widescreen so that most games are in 16:9 ratio instead of 4:3.

When using the AverMedia program i always get the image and sound, when using OBS Studio though, i sometimes need to restart it to get the image. Once i have it, there's no problems though.

As for the FPS, i just get 30, but i don't expect more since it's PS2 (PAL) anyway. I do get 60 on PS3 though.

Also, since i'm using the PS3 cables and all, all i need to do to record PS3 is to unplug the cables from the PS2 and plug them in the PS3 instead.

I use official Sony PS2/PS3 component cables run into my OSSC then line doubled for output into a generic HDMI splitter and one signal to my monitor and one signal to my Startech USB3.0 HD Cap
