Hi, I'm new to the speedrunning community, and I'm having trouble with the live split timer.
I tried to link in the obs studios recording Livesplit one and I can't' make it work.
please help

I'm confused first of all how you are using LiveSplit on MacOSX, I assume you are using Wine? If you are it won't link to OBS

If you’re using LiveSplitOne, you probably need to capture it with a window region in order to get it into OBS due to the fact that it’s a browser source. Alternatively, I think there’s a way to add the full webpage into OBS (screen capture maybe?) and then you can crop it down to just the timer.

Disclaimer: I’ve never used LiveSplitOne myself nor do I frequently capture browser sources, so anyone can correct me if needed.

You can keep the livesplit page in its own separate window, then use window capture in OBS for this window, and maybe add crop-filter to capture only the part of the timer. That should work, at least.~~

I will try to record all the computer screen with fraps and not just the tv with obs.

OBS can record your screen just like Fraps can, I would use that. I would always recommend OBS, it's the defacto standard in recording/broadcasting.
