Yes, having both as main sounds redundant but they both arguments to stay there. NSE still deserves to be misc for now as too many runs don't have video proof, including WR; otherwise it'd at least deserve a chance.

"cannonless has more optimisations and is generally a more interesting category" I'm aware that NSE has very low verification standards but I don't think it's the only reason why people decided to run it more. Sure warpless may be considered harder because of W7 but NSE hasn't anything less to optimize.

EDIT: I did move NSE to misc (as well as warpless and low to main as people requested) but they apparently returned where they were. I guess it's Jumpyluff.

My opinion: I think that the main catergories should be the following: Any%, Cannonless and 100% nothing else... The rest can go in misc or not even exist... I mean i don't see a point of running NSE... However i do see low% staying as misc not a main. Also Loz, Jumpyluff did start this so i guess he has the final say,

Also why do runs without videos be accepted lmao.. Anyone could just submit a run and make up there shit... Wtf... I run ratchet and clank, and you see, every run there has a video, no video no acceptance. I vote to delete every run without a video. I mean its just stupid. Im not saying everyone is dishonest cause you guys are props honest but still puts people off the effort of doing a run when you can just lie about it. Know what i mean makes it look messy and not tidy when there is no v a l i D proof :P

NSE, Any% SW, All Levels, and All Exits as Misc.

haha thanks it's just that changing categories back and forth is just dumb and I'd rather talk with him/hear his arguments if it's a real issue. Of course the opinion of a super mod shouldn't ovveride what the rest of the community did to make as many people as possible happy.

@Dani as you can see ~80% of the runs with video are on VC and EMU. Recording with a DS requires a lot of effort and many newrunners on ds could have just choosen to abandon the game because taking the effort to record is not worth it in cases of mid/end leaderboard runs. Chances are that if we'd have adopted your strict standards, this game wouldn't be as much "popular" as it is now. I do understand it's not something positive and can really turn off people but I think it's required to make a game that's this difficult to record to grow. I also do know that NSE went too far and something better could be done about standards. I have a couple of ideas that I'll expose when I get back at home.

I moved all the runs from No Secret Exits and All Levels (the Misc. categories) to the category extensions page. I will be deleting the Misc. categories from this page.

True. I guess we could leave them up here as well. The reason for moving them to the category extensions board was to populate it with more runs. In my opinion, it's redundant to have them on both boards.

MoistenedWah, Exciton97, and a few other people wanted one because there are a lot of different categories that could be run and they wanted a leaderboard for them. I personally don't care about the category extensions, but that's just me.

I vote for leaving the board as is and adding all new non-serious categories to the extensions, beginning (I think) with all worlds any%. Leave No Secret Exits, Cannonless etc on misc
