i just noticed how messed up the WR history looks like if you have a lot of categorys. i did send a bug report to the speedrun.com-team, hope they can fix it

an easy fix would be to make the statistics box be away from the boxes that you click to edit the statistics

They get a lot of complaints about it. We will have to see what they do

You can toggle categories in the WR history statistics. Click on the category name or the box next to it and it will be crossed out and removed from the graph. (edit: learning this is broken for some people, apologies)

Yes, the world record history graph has been broken for a while. Speedrun.com is aware of the issue and a fix should (eventually) be released.
