Whilst watching the full game runs, I noticed their games switched through the level completion screen much quicker than me, even if I mash enter. Any tips on why this might be?

The game loads faster on their computer ? Perhaps they have a SSD or a better PC

You can do that by mashing right instead of enter. Also when you turn off sound, the level names won't be read out which is also faster
