I just thought I would try and record a speedrun for a game I really enjoyed, Estranged: Act II. The first Estranged was the very first game I beat 100% and I really wanted to try and do something fun with the second game. I think im gonna be the record holder for it, considering the other 2 speedruns are super outdated and there have been a lot of changes. I just wanted to say hi and ask if there were any other games for a beginner to start speedrunning, or if there were any basic tips for getting into it. Thanks!

Hello! :) Just have fun doing it. Sometimes it can get frustrating, and it's important to know when to walk away for a moment. Most of your runs WILL end in failure. Just keep running and never give up. Your biggest successes in life will come from picking yourself up from a failure a million times. Sometimes you just need a friend by your side to help out. I find having my girl next to me while I do my runs keeps my body relaxed allowing me to enjoy it more. If you plan on streaming, just know that no one is going to watch you for a long time. Getting started is always the hardest part. Just focus on your game and people will slowly start to come in. Interacting with your audience is the most important thing you can do to grow your community. It's important to stay focused on your game and only read chat when you don't have to do anything.
