Idea for PC category.

I want to see at least a runner or two attempt a category that in my estimations will take about 6 to 8 hours to complete... the goal is pretty simple, the timer stops when the player has enchanted a diamond tool with a level 30 enchant on an enchantment table that the player has built themselves including the bookcases that are required for the level 30 enchant.

rules are Minecraft version 1.8 or newer NO GLITCHES OR CHEATS no mods outside of optifine however if optifine is installed the player cannot use any of its special features such as the zoom in button... Set seeds are allowed as without one this category could take a very long time. Players must play on either hard or hardcore difficulty and villages must be turned OFF

I call it "enchanted tool RTA"

I have tried it myself using the seed -402652458 because it spawns you next to everything you need... mainly cows and sugarcane as those are hard to find next to each other on other seeds...

There is one small problem that I found with running this myself.... I am a freakin nobody.... I have less than a dozen followers on twitch and about the same amount of subs on youtube...

Can somebody please try this out to see if it could be a thing?

6 to 8 hours may be a bit extreme for an estimation, you just have to find a swamp, harvesting a lot of sugar canes, killing cows for 45 leather, chop some wood, find 5 diamonds and some lapis (not even needed if 1.7), make a quick nether portal and farm quartz. It would take less than 30 minutes for sure, and add to this some delicous RnG like villages, horses, temples, and so on.

And I don't think you can add the "NO GLITCHES" because in every category, there are either Any% SS and Any% SSG. Same for "must be on hard", you can't forbid such things, if not it's not a speedrun, it's a challenge. Or you would have to create a Hard category (never seen before but why not). And I don't see the point of de-activating the structures, every rules you're having here seems to make the run slower and slower, it makes no point in a speedrun leaderboard imo ^^

So to resume a little bit, it would be a cool idea, but all the rules you said are kinda irrelevant imo, just many many brakes than you can remove.

In my estimations: Set seed glitches: 5 minutes as you can dupe everything and get bottle o enchanting Set seed glitch less: the current WR for iron armour 16 levels glitch less could be used for this, but if your not allowed to take bookshelves I would say 15 minutes Random seed glitches: 20 minutes as duping can be used heavily to obtain all the things Random seed glitch less; this is a very unpredictable category but assuming you spawn next to a village and cave I would say 30 minutes

If you want to try a really long run then either kill wither glitch less or all bosses glitch less is heavily RNG based. Because of the randomness of Minecraft most cstegories could probably be done in under 5 minutes.

I was considering setting up a modpack for speedrunning whith categories such as "obtain draconium" or obtain an Infinty ingot, the latter would take probably 6 hours. There is a few other categories I suggested, such as all records which would also take a long time

I may make a post for a "memerboard" for Minecraft, to see how many people would be willing to do some other categories in this respect.

I love meme runs, but i primarily do runs that take under an hour. I vote yes on the memerboard.

I am down for adding to the leaderboard any level category that is actively run and is not boring. If y'all get on doing runs of this, I'll put up the board. Just remember that if you just do a run and then never touch the category again, it wil eventually get deleted because of it being an inactive category.
