Tried getting Lightstream Racer approved but got rejected...sucks. Such a fun game, and notable

...yet games like "Crash On The Run" are aloud. Short and trivial games...

Don't understand, weird

You're wasting your time trying to understand the process. There's zero consistency.

Crash was likely added by the series moderators. Pointing fingers to other games will never help your case by the way.

You're right. Just don't get it, ah well

PS For the record, love Crash

What was your rejection reason?

The reason was "the name is trivial / not notable"

Yet...

Awards & Recognition Game of the Day (Apple App Store, 28/07/2018) AR Critic Editor’s Choice Award 2018

It is notable, and not trivial. But anyway, its fine

If your request was rejected for a specific reason that can be fixed, feel free to resubmit once you have fixed the issues we raised.

If you disagree with the rejection reason, you could resubmit the game request with more information. A few things to keep in mind when you do this. I don't know which video you submitted for the request, but try to show as much in the run of the game as possible. If possible, a full-game run, 100% or maybe an all levels run. A level submission might be considered short / trivial in this case as they are ~20 seconds. Also, use the additional info box to give your reason why it is notable / not trivial. As you said in an earlier message, Awards & Recognition etc. If you did all of this already in your first game request, then there is nothing much else you can do about it.

@meeps If a game brings up a question of 'why is this on the site?' it's generally because of 1 of 2 reasons. 1.) Added by series mod 2.) Added around 2-3 years ago or earlier. Only some time in around 2020 were games ever really rejected from this site. Before that, just about anything was accepted as long as you had a run of it. I'm assuming the policy change was made to stop the many dead boards from taking up site space, but idk. As for why your particular game was denied, did you mention those awards in the application? Staff won't really go out of their way to look stuff up about 99% of games and generally goes off of what you say and just try to validate that (from my experience, maybe they work differently in other cases), so maybe mentioning that info and resubmitting could help. It can also help if you find a longer category to run, in the case of this app, maybe try something like an 'all tracks' mode. Lastly, after looking at the site myself (without playing the game) I seem to understand that it is kinda like hot wheels combined with AR? Seems like a cool concept, but generally stuff without standard levels that everyone can easily access is rejected, so if there ARE standard levels in the game, maybe make that clear in the submission.
