As the rules say: Your fps MUST be limited to a maximum of 60 during a run. I have a 144 hz acer monitor and nvidia. Do I need to change anything in in-game settings and/or in nvidia control panel? Thanks for any help

There's a program called Dxtory that is free to download that allows you to limit your game's framerate to 60 and display it on your screen. I'm sure there's others but that's the one I've used for Oblivion and I'm sure it would work the same for Dying Light.

download the nvidia inspector package. the nvidiaProfileInspector will then allow you to find the specific game, and set various framerate limiters.

I know you can change the monitor hertz manually through the resolution settings.
