probably because someone could change their split times, but that would only be those people that know how to speedrun games but are too lazy to do one.
Gothic is probably going to correct me on this one, just expecting it
Gothic mentioned how a WR for a time was a spliced run in another thread. If it's easy enough to have a spliced run seem real what makes you think someone wouldn't do it for a screenshot? It would be too easy to fake unless I'm missing something.
It doesn't seem like there is a way to proof a screenshot is legit and the whole point is that it's proof so it doesn't make sense to use a screenshot in the first place imo.
There was just a kid who commentated over Cheese's 70 WR acting like it was his, even including Cheese's voice (it was actually kinda sad).
Anyone who does or doesn't speedrun could take a pic of a timer they've arbitrarily split and stopped at random points and claim to have a time. Ngl, I feel like it's pretty obvious why screenshots aren't allowed.
@GothicLogic do you have a link to that video? That shit sounds funny af
Dude, the guy's a kid. Don't be the man who necros a 5 month old thread to laugh at a kid. You're better than that. Hopefully.
Oh wait.
