The game is officially called Watch_Dogs. Also The Typing of the Dead is the official name of the game. I'd suggest removing the empty one and fixing the name of the one that is already used.

Bavaria, Germany

Fixed "Torchight II". Watch_Dogs should maybe be WATCH_DOGS strictly speaking, but I have no qualms about the current title. Still more accurate than Watch Dogs in any case.

Apparently there was a separate Typing of the Dead series as well as the proper The House Of The Dead series. I've moved the games in the Typing of the Dead series into the other series, deleted the now empty series and 'combined' the 2 duplicate games into one The Typing Of The Dead.

Backgrounds that are set to scroll fast somehow are really slow on firefox but fast on chrome. (I have checked with http://www.speedrun.com/sml2 ) Firefox stutters around and is slow.

Due to Lightnat0r's recent update, I get this on the "Pending actions" : "Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/speedrun/www/ajax_verificationleaderboard.php on line 30 There are no runs."

The Forums tab is broken, as it doesn't link to http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/forum but instead links to http://www.speedrun.com/forum

I'm pretty sure that's how it makes the most sense in the current design. The top navigation bar should be global links right now. Having a way to go up one layer would be good, but I think it needs implemented differently in the user interface to make sense.

Also PackSciences issue was fixed, but not replied to because it was posted in two places.

I'm not sure what's up with mugg's issue. Perhaps this is related to a recent firefox update, unless something was changed within the site.

Bavaria, Germany

I like the 'The Site' forum as much as anyone, but it isn't the only forum on the site so I don't see how linking to it specifically in the navigation bar makes sense. I'm guessing you just meant the bug Kotti posted about in the other thread though, in which case that's fixed ;)

mugg1991: kirkq: Nothing was changed in this respect on our end. I also couldn't replicate it, other than that it still uses a silly amount of processing power (which might have caused the lag if you're on an old pc or running a lot of things at once).

I was browsing random people on speedrun.com when on this guy's page : http://www.speedrun.com/user/Tinnue I found this error : "Warning: imagepng(images/user/user/Tinnue-TwitterCardImageFile.png): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/speedrun/src/Utility.php on line 583"

YTXZ: They're not hidden because there's not an actual button to unhide/hide them right now, I've made a note of that such a button still needs to be added.

PackSciences: Fixed, thanks.

I have three (although the latter probably won't be attained to for obsolete reasons). The first is actually notifications when people post on a forum, I believe it's meant to do this but I get no notification at all when someone posts on a forum after me (if I've missed a setting then I'm sorry). The latter two are: IE6 can't log in to the site. If you click "log in" it simply refreshes the page. The other is: IE6 + 7 can't view ANY of the leaderboards and can only stalk the recent times added on the main page.

As I say; I understand if the latter don't get fixed due to obsolescence but I thank you all regardless. :)

@SBCz : I don't think old IE issues are "real bugs" because these versions are very very VERY obsolete and IE is known to be a shitty browser for developers. However, you can try update your browser or even better change your browser to a supported web browser.

[/quote] You didn't miss anything, there was indeed a bug which is now fixed, thanks! (I'm actually surprised no one else reported this before, it wasn't a recent bug either.)

As for the 'realness' of bugs on old IE versions, while we're not going to be making sure that the site works as well on them as on newer browsers if it's a simple issue it's still worth fixing imo. Regardless, even bugs that won't be fixed are still good to at least know about.

I wanna make quotes :( First off I want to say THANK YOU! It's rare that you say something's up and people go "lol fixed", so yeah, I can actually view the leaderboards for once which makes it much much easier to see the rules for a start but also what everyone else is doing!

Only briefly tested this but I was able to log in just fine so I'm not sure what'd be going on there. -Basically what happens here is that the page seems to think that when it's hit "log in" it's hit a link to the main page and just refreshes it on my computer but it may be the actual workstation rather than the browser.

I know that you won't obviously keep the old versions trying to be as fresh as the newer ones (hell, IE6's layout for even my page looks horrendous whereas 7 loads it rather normally) but for the little things it really does help so thank you for that, Lightnat0r :)

  • Okay, I realise I praised the high kings too early. Not to say this no longer is still the case but that it's only the case because of some weird messing around:

Hopefully it makes sense but if I initially view a page (say the Outlast page) and it's on one category, well, that category won't load unless I click on another category first; that other category will boot up just fine and I will be able to click back on to the initial with no issues. (So if I clicked on Any% runs there then I would only be able to view if I then clicked the No OOB run for instance and then click back to the Any% category). IE6 Ladies and gentlemen. I only posted this because you said "Regardless, even bugs that won't be fixed are still good to at least know about." Thanks for making them at least viewable which I'm still very grateful for.

" Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/speedrun/src/Variable.php on line 96" Edge glitched inside "New Variable" and went OoB Kappa

SBCz: It was fixed for games without misc categories but not for games with, which is why I missed it. Should work in either case now. The navigation bar should also look slightly less horrible in old IE versions since it was annoying me. Obviously still not completely normal, but that's ancient browsers for you.

PackSciences: Fixed, thanks.

I don't mean to keep coming with problems with silly outdated browser things, so I'm sorry if it messes you guys over. It was just for the notification icon when pressed seems to be hiding behind the background (but can be hovered over and clicked on where the related data would be) both on forums and my own page, this page is different where it still hides behind the background but the backround for the text boxes is see through so I can see the data. So it seems the issue is that the box isn't going over the top of anything for IE6 (haven't checked 7). Thanks for your help.

This isn't really a bug, but just me being curious... SBCz, may I ask why you use IE6? :p

SBCz:

They seem to be fine in IE7. Not so much in IE5 (don't have access to IE6 atm), but then again the whole navigation bar (and site) is rather quirky in that.

However, unlike the leaderboards, the site is at least useable without easy access to your notifications. So, if anyone wants to provide a simple solution I'll gladly implement it, but I'm not going to be spending time on figuring out how to fix it myself.
