About "All Keys" category

Isn't the point of this category to collect all the keys possible to collect in an episode? Why then shouldn't we, for example, collect the key on the secret floor of the first episode? There is also a key there, but it turns out that not all are collected? It seems to me that it would be interesting to use secret levels as well? At least it would diversify the runs a little

As far as I know, the All Keys category refers to get every key in an episode. If the keys are present in a secret level - for example the one in the sixth ep., then you are required to get them.

This category is pretty much an equivalent of No Major Glitches in the Prince of Persia Speedrun Community - it makes you play the game the casual way, but fast. I like it. This is pretty much the one and only aside Glitchless/Any% excluding the IADI difficulty variants category I subjectly recognize.

But yeah, indeed, I just checked and both the records in the Episode 1 are INVALID because both of the runners skipped the key in the level 10. Here is the map, and in the top right corner there is a yellow "k" - this is an indicator for a key. https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/wolfenstein/images/3/32/WOLF3D_E1M10.PNG/revision/latest?cb=20101121060314

To speak about it, I'm glad you touched this subject. All of the categories necessitate a rewrite. What is the difference between Glitchless and Any%? What's the point of differenting them if the guards opening keyed doors are not considered a glitch? And if they suddenly become glitches, then essentially what is the difference between Glitchless and All Keys?

There are no runs WHATSOEVER in the Any% category (for Ep1) because it is pretty much a copy-paste of the Glitchless one.

The entire thing is counter-intuitive and murky.

Guards opening doors is intended behavior, so using it to our advantage is an exploit, not a glitch. Hence it's allowed in the glitchless category, and it won't ever suddenly become a glitch either. Any% allows glitches like SSP or dying while a push wall is moving (which causes the wall to de-load upon respawn). I'm not sure what you're considering counter-intuitive here.

As for All Keys... I admittedly know nothing beyond getting all keys. I'd imagine glitches are allowed unless otherwise specified, as SSP can still work with All Keys runs. In fact there are probably different SSP setups we can use in AK runs as opposed to Any% depending on the level.

As for why no one has run that, it's because SSP is still relatively new and people just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm sure you could tell, this isn't exactly the most active game.

Sorry, I'm a bit late! I made the All Keys category, and at the time I didn't see a need to go to the secret levels due to the fact that you don't normally enter them on other runs. I see how this could get confusing, seeing as the rules must've not detailed that you don't need to grab them (in my defense, I didn't make the actual page on this website so I didn't handle the rules and stuff as you'd see them here) plus, the name does make it confusing- though I don't know what else we'd call it, but it doesn't really need to be accurate I'm not trying to stop people from discussing or changing the category, I just thought I might give my pov
