Can you 100% make sure that you on cycling had the difficulty on normal. I’m not salty or accusing you of cheating in any way, just I’m perplexed that you saved a minute + on that. Just to be clear the rules say all normal cpus. Sorry for your time -SonicSam

SonicSam, My CPU difficulty was Normal, but I was playing against another Wii Remote player. I also brought in an opponent for other tournament-style events such as Fencing, as well as events like Table Tennis and Dream Fencing for All Events Max%, where you need to win every event. Having a second (and third and fourth) Wii Remote player makes the run much faster, as your second player(s) can lose on purpose without putting up a fight, as well as the fact that when you only have two human players, the game completely skips the semifinals, so winning against P2 is an automatic gold medal (for All Events Max%).
