You would have to ask the community themselves since emulation is dealt with on a board by board basis

It’s also worth noting that a lot a PS2 communities don’t allow emulator or have it in its own category. PS2 emulation is hot garbage, it can vary day to day even on the same computer. It also loads faster than console so it provides a lot of inaccuracies that lead to it being banned or split out. So, don’t get too upset if the community says you can’t use it.

As an aside, a gv-usb2 is probably the best standard def capture card you can get and it is only about $40 USD. I highly recommend it as an affordable capture card that can capture every console except current gen.

Just to add, I use S-Video exclusively and the cables are relatively easy to find since they have been the same from PS1 to PS3. The quality is amazing, to me indistinguishable from RGB, and with a GV (which supports S-Video) it's the best you can get without breaking the bank.

I do agree though. The state of PlayStation emulation is almost universally dreadful, PS1, 2, and 3 included. Heck, somehow Sega Saturn is more accurate now thanks to Mednafen. Who'd have thunk that.
