I believe there's a slight issue with the Instawin code affecting Sky Balls Gem. It looks like this Gem can never use the force win function otherwise Player 4 will win (Rilla when playing as Tiny, Dingodile when playing as Kong). When you use force victory on the other 3 Ballistix immediately, Player 2 should be the one to win (either a scientist or bandicoot) but on Sky Balls it is always Player 4. I have tested this on emulator and witnessed it first on nattyone's stream, where the example can be found here: . I've waited for Player 4 (Rilla for me) to have less balls left than a CPU and forced victory, but Rilla still won despite losing to either Brio or Kong on goals. On Natty's stream perspective, Rilla gets knocked all the way down to 5 goals left when he has 7, Cortex has 7 and Kong is on 1. He forced victory and then Rilla wins despite being 2 goals down to both Natty and Cortex. I don't know if this issue is just when playing with Tiny or any character but it means that Sky Balls Gem has to be ruled out for the run if this issue is confirmed with all characters and all runners. I want to make people aware of this so they don't lose runs to Sky Balls because of this issue. I believe this is now making the gems completely set in stone with what is possible for Any% so Polar Panic will have to be done before any MM takes place.

I tried to give a shot at improving the codes. I didn't go through all the trouble of finding the code effects, and simply used a methodical approach, developing from the latest codes. I did however look at what exactly was happening inside the game memory and tried to explain it as best as I could in the following pastebin: http://pastebin.com/kewAgjvH

Here is the main, ¤All In One¤ code that came out of it. Contains Dash, Timer, Instawin and Instaboss. The Polar AI may be restored, I couldn't exactly tell.

R L L R R L R R R U L R U L L L L L L R R L L R U R U L L U U L L R U D L D R R U U D U R U

As mentioned, I haven't thoroughly tested it and some problems may occur. If this code creates any issue for you that the previous codes didn't have, please mention it :)

does this code work on every level? (including the one's in warp room 5) because i plan on doing an all trophies run today at some point

From what I can tell the code works on every level. Attempted a 200% and was able to clear warp 5 just fine. Just don't use the instawin on keg kaboom crystal. It won't crash but you will lose. Not a fan of what the codes do to polar AI though. Lost around 30 minutes on Polar Panic gold mainly due to losing 50/50s on the second round every single time.

from my experiences, you have to save and reload the game then switching warp rooms, as it doesnt let you move warps with the codes, idk tho

Germany

Yes you can. Have you seen a single one of the recent any% runs? None of them reset at all.

In 200% you do have to reset once or twice though. Thats just to do a few gems without the codes though.

Germany

In All Trophies you'll have to reset once for that matter because you need all but one gems to unlock Keg Kaboom. The rest should be fairly straight forward. In 200% at least twice, naturally.

From my testing, you cannot change WARP room immediately after inputing the code, but loading the WARP room again (from entering and exiting a challenge) fixes that. I could investigate what address causes this small issue, and come up with a different code that would avoid it, but it would most likely be longer and could have some other nasty effects.

In most cases though, if my testing results apply to all situations, this issue can always be avoided by simply not inputting the code right before changing WARP rooms. Input it right after instead.

Poland

Did some 2 Player solo testing.

Instawin in 2P works just like in 1P, except for a few challenges:

  • Ballistix gems (except Sky Balls) can be insta-won at the start regardless of starting health
  • Dash items (except Trophy) fail on timeout instead of lowest lap winner (might be normal if it sums up team laps?)
  • Tie Breaker doesn't have force victory, works normally

Instaboss, Dash Panic and Timer effects work the same.

Nothing else happens differently (at least as far as up to Oxide).

Solo-ing 2P is almost easy, if you were to use the Player 3 deletion code, but you end up having to get 1 gem, from either Pogos or Sky Balls. Solo-ing Painter or PAG gem is possible, without timer, with Player 3 deletion, but at that point you could maybe do Dash gems...

Finland

yeah https://www.speedrun.com/crashbash/guide/8hkqh

Found a new PAL ONLY code that turns the game into a "Boss Rush". It does require a DDR pad (directional inputs not possible on a regular controller), but it is possible to do by hand. After entering the code it is possible to immediately enter any boss stage. Once the boss is beaten, it's then possible to go to the next warp room. I have a video demonstrating this on real hardware.

Epilepsy Warning (and also poor quality warning)

The code starts as soon as the menu is entered and is as follows:

L, LR, R, DR, ULR, UR, U, R, R, U, U, R, L, U, L, L, R, D, R, D, R
