This is information collected pertaining to the spell "Shadow Word: Pain" that I have collected. I am mostly writing this since I can't find a straight answer anywhere lol.

SW:P has a modifier of 342% spell damage (int in legion?) Critical hits deal 3.5x the damage listed.

Empty Character: Level 1 : - Level 2 : - Level 3 : 18 instantly, 162 over 18. Level 4 : 11 inst, 99 over 18. Level 5 : 12 inst, 108 over 18. Level 6 : 22 inst, 198 over 18. Level 7 : 22 inst, 198 over 18. Level 8 : 25 inst, 225 over 18. Level 9 : 25 inst, 225 over 18. Level 10 : 28 inst, 252 over 18.

Using the following set up (heirloom screen including for item names) http://i.imgur.com/E2n5nbY.png: Level 1 : - Level 2 : - Level 3: 28 Instantly, 288 over 18. Level 4 : 28 inst, 288 over 18. Level 5 : 29 inst, 298 over 18. Level 6 : 32 inst, 329 over 18. Level 7 : 33 inst, 340 over 18. Level 8 : 37 inst, 388 over 18. Level 9 : 37 inst, 388 over 18. Level 10 : 42 inst, 464 over 18.

Interesting. I take it that this information is with heirlooms that were generated directly from the heirlooms page, meaning no heirlooms that have any enchants that could have been sent over from another character?

It would be interesting to see these results in an Excel/Spreadsheet comparing with added enchants, such as +SP to Staff results, +(4)? Chest Stats. etc., and seeing also cumulative results. Primarily interested in this because some of the leveling categories use a skip at the beginning + involves mailing items, so those runs would be influenced by enchants + this data/information.

Also, tendrils are great for the murloc sections in Northern-Elwynn, but has this "setup" been tested to show the best starter damage/stats? Once again, just interested in wondering because of how diffferent the heirloom trinket setups could be (varying from intel+intel, haste+haste, intel+haste, haste+tendril crit, intel+tendril crit).

This is all straight from the heirloom tab with no added enchants. I was going to take tonight and log out how each stat effected each level (i.e. 1 crit at level 1 provides x% bonus, level 2 y%, etc.) for all the enchants we can use.

I haven't used the tendrils yet in a run, but I would assume putting them on the east most island would net the greatest yield, as each murloc respawn is between 12 and 16 seconds, theoretically, you could catch 1 new wave spawning in, a wave already on the island, and then a second respawn of the first killed. example:

Murloc A is spawning in Murloc A is hit with SW:P, and tendrils are used after damage is applied Murloc A dies to Tendrils, Murloc B is engaged by Tendrils Murloc B dies as Murloc A spawns in, and is aggroed back to the character

I wanted to test if versatility was better or equal to crit or haste, but from my understanding, it would increase the dot damage by, for example, 5%, meaning a level 6 SW:P will do 312.9/18sec, compared to 298/18sec (or 18/tick vs 16/tick, from quick testing I believe the damage is rounded up most of the time.)

I found this simulationcraft code snippet that basically calculates what each stat will give you. For instance, "Crit - Spell", at level one, each crit will give 1/x (in this case, 1/0.538462, or ~1.86% crit).
