Hey everyone,

I wanted to also just notify everyone that I have disabled comments on the leaderboards except from people who have a verified run in BPM. There have not been any comments posted to my knowledge, so this isn't a reaction to anything, but I don't want to have randos posting comments on leaderboard submissions.

As of now, there aren't any official rules or guidelines for posting leaderboard comments, but I hope you will use common sense and NOT do things like:

  • Make baseless accusations of cheating
  • Harass runners, including insults, or any kind of bigotry
  • Doxx a runner's personal information
  • Advertise any products, or post any spam links
  • etc.

We may delete comments for any reason we deem fit. If it becomes a chore to moderate comments, we will simply disable them entirely unless SRC removes that option.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding leaderboard comments, you can ask us in the discord in #src-chat.

ALSO, you can disable comments on your own runs by clicking on the gear icon to the right of "Comments". Mods can also do this for any run on the leaderboards.

Hey everyone,

As work continues on the boards and we re-evaluate our decisions now that we have multiple platforms to support, we're going to begin accepting RTA submissions for multi-character runs. For console players this will be a necessity due to the auto-splitter being unavailable, and for PC this simply provides some flexibility.

We still heavily encourage the use of the auto-splitter where possible, and appreciate your patience while it's updated for the most recent patches. This does not affect any submission rules for any other categories; IGT timings will continue to be the only timing option for Any%, CAR, and Challenges.

Cheers!

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the long period of inactivity regarding the boards. I've updated everything in accordance with the recent polls with the addition of adding Patch 1 and 0 to the "Patch" field options and retroactively assigning the proper patch value to archived runs. This way we only have a single universal "Patch" field instead of 7 for every category.

New Required Field You will be required to specify the Patch version of the game you are running. For the list of patches, see here: https://www.speedrun.com/bpm_bullets_per_minute/thread/z5q4c/1#vczhe

New Rules All runs submitted from October 3rd, 2021 and later must adhere to the following rules:

  • All submissions must show FPS counter OR Show FPS Limit in menu AFTER Victory screen
  • FPS must be capped at 144 fps or lower

NOTE: If it's not possible to do on console, then the rule doesn't apply. We'll discuss console specific issues after launch.

New Platforms In anticipation of console launch in 2 days, I've added the following platforms to the game:

PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X

This way we can accept console runs on launch day. It is unknown if the console version will have significant differences from PC besides framerate. The current plan is to treat all platforms the same but this will likely be debated in the future.

Autosplitter The LiveSplit autosplitter does not support Patch 3.2 yet. If you want to do a Multi-Character run, you will have to rollback to a supported patch, from 2+.

Thank you for your patience. We will begin verifying runs again.

[section=Aug 4 2021 - Timing Rules Language Change]

Hey everyone,

We(the mods) have decided to try an make the most confusing rule a little bit easier to understand. We've never rejected runs for failing to adhere to this since it's a simple fix, but it can be annoying when the time is entered incorrectly. So we have agreed to change the following:

  • The Victory screen milliseconds should be entered as XX0ms for two decimals displayed, or 0X0ms when only a single decimal is displayed, where the X's are the values displayed.

To this:

  • Enter milliseconds by appending a 0 to the value(X:XX.2 is entered as 20ms, X:XX.20 is 200ms)

This change does not affect the status of any past, present or future submissions.

[section=Mar 9 2021 - Multi-Character and Practice] Hey everyone,

We will now be accepting runs for Multi-Character and Practice difficulty on all applicable categories.

Please read the rules as these runs differ from normal runs. Livesplit with autosplitter is required on Multi-Character runs.

If you have questions regarding livesplit, refer to this guide or ask @ch1pset.

Thank you for your patience and input. Remember to voice any concerns regarding the leaderboards in #src-chat in the Discord.

[section=Feb 28 2021 - Back in Business] Hey everyone,

We're happy to announce that Speedrun.com leaderboard submissions are now open except for the following runs:

  • Practice difficulty in any category
  • Multi-Character

Side note: The Livesplit autosplitter is currently broken on the current patch. In some Challenges, it is easy to accidentally skip the Victory screen. We cannot accept, nor verify a run that does not show the Victory screen. So please be careful.

Also, be sure to review the rules for changes. We have attempted to improve organization, readability, and clarification.

Sorry again for the length of down time on the leaderboards, it was unintentional that it took 3 weeks.

Thank you for your patience and input!

[section=Feb 26 2021 - Progress Update] Hey everyone,

As we are setting up the leaderboards to go live for the Overdrive update, you might see some weird things like fields with the wrong information, and new empty categories with no options. We are making organizational changes in accordance with the community polls.

We are still not accepting submissions for new categories that might appear on the boards. Please don't submit until we make the announcement that we're done.

Thank you for your patience.

[section=Feb 4 2021 - Overdrive Update] Hey everyone,

With the new patch dropping tomorrow we'll be pausing all submissions to the SRC leaderboard for at least 1 week to give us a chance to perform some behind the scenes maintenance and get to grips with the new content and what it means for the leaderboards. During this time, we encourage all of you to contribute to the discussion around the new patch's content and your thoughts on it in the Discord.

Once we're satisfied that we have enough information on the new state of the game, and pending any category changes that arise from feedback and community discussions/polls, we'll re-open submissions.

From now moving forward, we will be posting announcements both here on the SRC forums and in the Discord.

Enjoy the patch!

Proposal for Loosening Up the Rules!

Hey Speedrunners !

So the leaderboard mod team rejects a lot of runs since the October 2022 rule changes. I really don't enjoy rejecting runs that would have been good in the previous set of rules, or ones that are just "technically" not following the rules. I think the reject rate actually hurts
