Why Duckstation is not allowed?

I love that emulator and i'd wanna run.

It's an emulator that doesn't focus on accuracy.

Yes, it's good for casual use, and it's specifically designed with lower end systems in mind. However due to it being an emulator that doesn't focus solely on accuracy it shouldn't be considered for use in the speedrunning scene.

"DuckStation is an simulator/emulator of the Sony PlayStation(TM) console, focusing on playability, speed, and long-term maintainability. Accuracy is not the main focus of the emulator, but the goal is to be as accurate as possible while maintaining performance suitable for low-end devices. "Hack" options are discouraged, the default configuration should support all playable games with only some of the enhancements having compatibility issues."

Edit; It now mentions that they are an emulator that aims for accuracy now. This is going to be rain-checked for about a year to see how mature it can get. It does help that some of the code being used is from mednafen.

Raincheck on Duckstation by any chance?

Try and get in contact with the global board moderators. Rules have been written up for it for some time now, but they haven't pushed it out yet.

Am also interested in this. Would love to run Crash 2 but it's kind of unfortunate having to install 2-3 different emulators to run multiple PSX games. I mean, obviously it's not a big deal, but it's a "nice-to-have."

Hi, I have a question, why do we have to use only NoGUI and not QT for Duckstation? My saves are on the QT version, and even if I export the memcards QT files to the memcards NoGUI it doesen't work...
