Capture Cards?

I want to stream myself learning to speedrun (lol). Do you guys/girls know where I can get a relatively inexpensive capture card that is compatible with Wii U? I understand that you get what you pay for, but I also don't want to pay an arm and a leg, know what i mean? :)

Only card I can suggest is the one I'm using currently as it works great for anything using HDMI, has little to no latency at all or audio delay. for me cost about $400 CAD, fairly moderate amount for a very decent current card. If you wanna do anything else with older machines you'll need some work around equipment etc, running and recording it is an investment just like any hobby or passion is.

The Elgato HD60 is significantly cheaper and I think it's wonderful. I use OBS with it for Wii U streaming. The input to the tv has no lag however the stream is slightly behind to computer. Really a great card I absolutely recommend. It's around $150 on amazon.

problem is if that card has a delay that means it harder to time and record on video for runs. Generally you would have to figure out what the delay is and try and compensate for it. I know allot of people who use Elgato's but they don't record runs with them.

The delay would be the same beginning and end therefore should not be a problem.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to make one last thread on a seperate topic. I hope it doesn't clutter things up :).
