Why does any% exist?

I think we should allow any addon as long as it can in no way affect the time. Cosmetic addons only, basically. Git version has colored karts now, i'll try that out on my next run.

Cripes, I didn't expect someone to pull out the ability to skip the giant door. I thought that place up above was blocked off by invisible walls! The surprises...

Great, now I have to route out Any% too. It'll be fun!

I think for character selection, it would be best to use a standard kart. Custom karts should get the O.K. from a board mod first if that's the case.

Are you using OBS for recording? Maybe add a compression filter to the "desktop audio" channel? Although I'm not the best one to talk about this kind of stuff, my audio is all over the place lol.

What do we feel about kart-switching mid run? I would switch to a low range kart for nessies pond and some others.

I highly recommend OBS, it's the best open source screenrecorder, many more options and settings, and you can also use it for streaming. You should be able to use hardware accelerated encoding also. https://obsproject.com/ apparently xSplit is also good, but it's closed source.

OBS is very bad. Only use it if you have to.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_screencasting_software OBS is open source and has been thoughroughly examined, if you download it from the official source you are guaranteed to not recieve any malware. OBS is absolutely the best open source recording software. There are closed source programs that are better, but it cannot be guaranteed that they aren't hosting some sort of malicious software. The likelyhood of any commercial product containing malware is very low. You just must ensure you are downloading the software from an official source. After recording 300 videos, OBS has crashed 3 times. In my use case, in it %99 reliable. I would be interested in hearing what problems you have had with OBS, if you would care to elaborate?

There is only one other open source screen recording software for windows that is being actively developed, and that is "ShareX"

I use simplescreenrecorder. OBS is slow, buggy, and I can't change a simple thing without a crash.

No, you have to encode separately (which is stupid and wasteful) but it is in the stream settings somehwere.

You can make twitch save your livestreams for you as well if you use twitch. Go to your Dashboard, then settings.
