Let me use United Kingdom as region.
That has been an ongoing discussion here https://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/g79jt/47 and you're not the only person to want that option so hopefully it'll come soon.

Just don't set a region at all. I didn't want a US State showing for me, so I just selected United States and no region.
