Small community looking for runners?

Hi!

I enjoy to run games which aren't popular. Sometimes I see boards with only 1 runner and it always make me wonder if they want someone else to run their favorite game and talk about strats etc.

So, do you have a game you run and looking for more runners? Reply and I will run it :) (If I don't have the game I can't run it ofcourse)

What I am looking for:

  • The current route should be learnable in a day
  • Time doesn't matter
  • ~ 5 runners or less who did a run of it.
  • Console doesn't matter
  • Atleast 1 run

Anyone feel welcome to join! ^^

"Game should be easy to learn" Define this.

Easy as in, there is a tutorial for it, or, it's just an easy game?

@Komrade

Good point, the current route should be learnable in a day ^^

Sparkster - Genesis version.

This game needs some more life breathed into it. The game itself is relatively simple and a "Fast Let's Play" style speedrun could be banged out within a few hours, I reckon.

So 24 hours? That's a large list of games.

@Komrade I am not saying you should list every game that's learnable in 24 hours, I am looking for games with runners who love to have more runners, and adding more love to some speedgames which aren't popular. ^^

@Drakodan That looks like an awesome game, I am surprised there are only 4 runners. I will try to run it this evening!

@UbuntuJackson I love the style of Frogatto ^^ and I will also check out Pingus

Thanks for the replies :)

You should check out speedrun weekly, we run a new game every week and normally the community is under 15 people in them, except a few bigger games that pop up every now and then.

@Seydie If you're gonna try Sparkster, playing on Easy is important for Any%; the length of the game differs based on the difficulty. Normal and above is True Ending.

@tcd11 Just submitted a run for Its Always Monday ^^ nice game and pretty easy to learn. I will for sure check out Fotonica

@DarQ_Massacres Ah yes I did join the Discord server and I always look for the weekly game that's picked ^^ Speedrun Weekly is awesome, but I was looking for other games that perhaps weren't picked by Speedrun Weekly.

@Drakodan Joined the Discord for Sparkster :)

I'd love more people do runs for Armed with Wings 2.

Here is the game leaderboard.

https://www.speedrun.com/5ds_wheeliebreakers We could also use another runner or two. Just be warned, it's a racing game with pretty stiff steering...

https://www.speedrun.com/Hue perhaps? There's 7 people on the any% leaderboard, but only three are very active. Warpless (3) and hundo (2) are even smaller. I can't say how easy it is, I have rekkie in all three categories (#humblebrag) so it's easy as pie for me but I'm always gonna evangelize for this game.

https://www.speedrun.com/cmr If you fancy running one of these games then feel free to, we're always looking for new runners regardless of their experience. My advice would be to run the first game in the series on either PC or PlayStation :)

The game is rather easy to pick up and play but if you want more of a challenge then you can always go for a harder difficulty ;)

https://www.speedrun.com/autonauts#Any Awesome little game. Absolutely loved running it, even though any% is super RNG, there are some cool categories that don't heavily rely on RNG. Also, I want to get back into running the game, as it works for me as its super short, but I don't really have any motivation, cuz I have wr in any% but the other runner that was constantly beating my times stopped a while back. (Yeah, the runs are 6 months old, I suggest getting the version we were running on, cos it's much easier to learn and the numbers work out better (I've put it on hold for a long time...)) P.S I'm in contact with the moderators so the runs are gonna be verified.

You're more than welcome to check my profile. The games I run don't have many players. Games I don't run but still recommend are: https://www.speedrun.com/nseries https://www.speedrun.com/fpa Linked the series pages to let you choose yourself which game you'd like to run. Mostly recommending the free web games.

I'll have to recommend Gunpoint, my first speedgame. It's a spy game with neat movement that's easy to pick up and easy fun. The Any% board has 9 runners but most are unfortunately inactive.
