While this is clearly a trolling post, adding an option for multiples probably wouldn't be the hardest thing. There was a runner during Frame Fatales who had "they (plural)" onscreen as their pronoun. Seems easy enough.

How far will this nonsense get pushed I wonder? Can I get a pronoun for identifying as a cosine function?

Excellent question @Saradoc. Just when will all this "showing basic human decency and common courtesy to other people" stop. Definitely WAY too much of that going around!

And yeah, I've always thought a user-definable text box would be perfect. Would accommodate neopronouns or multiples, it would make it crystal clear who's just an asshole and can safely be ignored if they put "Attack/Helicopter" or some shit in there. The only argument against it I've ever seen is "it might get misused/abused" which you can say about literally anything.

"Excellent question @Saradoc. Just when will all this "showing basic human decency and common courtesy to other people" stop. Definitely WAY too much of that going around!" It's neither courtesy nor decency to enable someone's delusions and/or attention-seeking. "Xenogenders" and "multiples" aren't real, the Earth isn't flat and 2+2=4.

With all due respect @Saradoc I'm not sure the wiki article you linked is proving your point. Of the two definitions of the term you linked, one is unrelated to the attack helicopter meme and the other is referencing and making fun of it. It should be simple enough to tell whether a person putting that in a custom profile box is referencing the meme genuinely or ironically by looking at their conduct, and taking according action.

Gonna agree with @RetroPacman that this thread has gone on long enough; we've established many of us like the idea of a custom status/pronoun box and we don't need tensions any higher.

Gender is not a flimflam word, it was literally put in place to designate how one GENerates life, in a male way or in a female way. No others and no in betweens, those are the only ways human persons are lawfully generated.
