can a mod or anybody tell me why nicro, chaos and others have new subsplits? thanks!

It's best to ask them in their own chats or in the discord server, not in the forums.

I agree with Tech but I'd still like to offer my take.

I think the subsplits give more room for golds and they help take down a mental barrier; if you feel like you're terrible at the game you will definitely not perform as well as you would if you felt good. It's like an intentional placebo effect of sorts.

For example, almost right after Chaos implemented them he was golding like crazy and he was on 1x pace for the majority of the run (even in late game! He ended up with a 24, however; see WR VOD for details).
