Do you keep completions/attempts figures for your runs?

Or rather, do you look at them, since LiveSplit keeps them on its own and I imagine other timers do too. Of course if you do no-reset runs with splits, they don't really correspond to a true "completion rate" in terms of expecting a PB, but if that's OK with you, that's OK! I'm just curious to know what everyone else's numbers are, if they keep them.

My runs, from most attempts to least:

Infamous 1 - 11 completions in 294 attempts Infamous First Light - 15 completions in 133 attempts Escape Plan - 10 completions in 120 attempts ChromaGun - 7 completions in 110 attempts Never Alone - 4 completions in 21 attempts Infamous Festival of Blood - 2 completions in 12 attempts Infamous 2 - 1 completion in 5 attempts Murdered: Soul Suspect - 2 completions in 2 attempts (lel) Infamous Second Son - 1 completion in 1 attempt~!

Maybe I'm just a huge nerd in enjoying keeping track of statistics like this, and that's cool :P Other than the runs I've barely started, the ratios do roughly correspond with how difficult each run is. First Light is an easy run, Escape Plan is not that hard a run (rate will go down as I grind for deathless). ChromaGun's a pretty tough run to do well and Infamous 1 is absolutely brutal (but I love it).

How's your stats?

Well I personally do not keep this. I did lots of runs before I even knew that livesplit keeps track of this (or maybe it didn't do so one year ago?) so I had lots of runs which only had the reset count. Basically I sticked to this until today, I never activate the completition rate. I also run lots of games where you need to reset in the beginning (Pokemon games, Digimon games, Yugioh FM) and I like to reset in general, so the completition rate wouldn't even stand for what it's pretending to be. But of course this might be different for other runners with other games. I'm also a fan of statistics, but in most cases I'm way too lazy to keep them on my own.

Since Livesplit tracks this automatically for me its easy to keep it around. I even migrated attemtps from my old timer when I move to livesplit. Bear in mind I'm a very reset heavy runner simply because I like it that way, but here is a list of some of the games I've ran.

Mega Man 1 (NES) - 8078 attempts - 353 Completed runs (4.3%) Ninja Gaiden II (NES) - 4372 Attempts - 153 Completed runs (3.4%) Yume Penguin Monogatari (Famicom) - 3670 Attempts - 81 Completed runs (2.2%) Ducktales (NES) - 669 attempts - 29 Completed runs (4.3%) Castle of Illusion HD (PC) - 377 Attempts - 14 Completed runs (3.7%)

I actually only use a timer, no splits or attempt counters at all. I used to not even use a timer, would time my runs after the fact. I only started using a timer due to streaming more regularly. For me, more numbers to look at gets my head out of the game.
