I have the nes mini and snes mini , are they ok to use for runs ?

NES Classic/Mini is fine and we currently accept runs from them. Just be aware that their framerate is a little slower than that of the NES so you will lose a little bit of time in your runs due to that. It's not going to matter a whole lot unless/until you get into the 5:00 realm.
