how do i get my timer to show when i play the game in full screen mode

Either edit a timer in later in the video after recording it, or play the game in windowed mode. Or just use a stopwatch, you don't need to have a timer on-screen.

Heck, you don't even need a timer, either! You can calculate the time after recording.

One thing that could be good to use if you're not gonna use a timer (Even though it's a lot better that way in case you have 2 very similar runs back to back) is using the videopad editor as you can get the exact thousandth of a second for your run from start to finish, that's how I determined my FNaF World CMR time and Minions WR for it as well, very simple and easy to use.
