i seriously don't know how you go about doing that or which timer is the right one to use
You can use any timer that's LiveSplit, to Wsplit, it's down to personal preference, here's a link to where you can get all of the available ones: http://www.speedrunslive.com/tools/

so it says theres no auto split so i click the split button as soon as i begin the game? couldnt that like easily be cheated or messed up?
You can undo a split if you skip or split accidentally.
You can also skip a split if you forget to split to the next segment.
and another thing about the cheated part, you still need video proof anyways to get a run submitted on here, and it would be very easy to notice splicings and stuff of that nature in the videos by various methods, so it can't be cheated when you have the proper authority to prevent it from happening
