question about in game timer

I was wondering if someone could explain to me how exactly the in game timer works. Usually at the end of the game the in game time is a bit lower than real time (around 20-30 seconds, correct me if I'm wrong). Yesterday for the first time my real time was higher than my in game time ( see this picture: http://imgur.com/l11YZ21 ). It's a 2 second difference and I didn't think much of it, since I'm playing on a new computer and thought maybe it's more accurate now w/e. Then today I got this: http://imgur.com/sHUN4bs A time that's almost one minute faster on splits, but displays the exact same time as the other run. So my questions are : How is this possible, am I missing something obvious, is my game just botched? Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks !

Are you skipping all the credits immediately?

The timer for wesker mode counts:

  • All time spent on the intro screen (basically where it's explaining Wesker Mode to you after you click "wesker mode")
  • All credits / end-game fmvs.

alternatively, download the autosplitter, which will show you the IGT in your livesplit program.

BTW your real-time wasn't higher than IGT in either of those pics. lol

Oh boy, I didn't know about the timer running during the wesker explanation screen. I actually had it up for around a minute before starting, so that's probably just it. Ah well I feel silly now, but thanks for helping!
